Aviazure Ltd was formed five years ago by Alasdair
Sinton and Roger Barnard. Both are very involved in East Africa and deeply
affected by the tragic decimation of the indigenous peoples of Africa
highlighted by the effects of HIV/AIDS worldwide.
Roger Barnard, for many years, has been involved both
commercially and personally in herbal medicines and presented a proposal
to Alasdair Sinton that the properties of Hyproxis hemerocallidia could be
an important step forward in the treatment of HIV/AIDS if produced and
prepared on a commercial scale and made easily and inexpensively available
to AIDS sufferers and would also be a beneficial treatment for a number of
other diseases and infections. Clinical trials proved the merit of the
herb and the effects seen by the two directors of Aviazure on patients
treated with Hypodea was so remarkable in improving the quality of life in
a number of patients suffering from different diseases and infections
which also include HIV/AIDS, that they invited a number of enthusiastic
investors, including themselves, and Aviazure Ltd was founded. Roger
Barnard with his technical and farming background started farming the
plant in Natal, South Africa, using natural methods of production and
drying and organic farming methods. Alasdair Sinton with his
organisational disciplines found offices, hired staff and the company has
been successfully producing Hypodea for five and a half years, successfully selling
and distributing the product all over East Africa.
